i got files sent by a friend with extension .dvr. i dont know how to open these files. even that i tried to search the net to appropriate programs. if there any free ones it would be better!!!

Try the website listed below. It will explain all you need to know about DVR files and any other files you ever get that you dont know about. Just type in the extension and it will find it for you...

.drv are the driver files, so you can not open the driver files.. its similar to pst file in Outlook, you can import the pst file, but can not open it. Same way .drv files you can only load them , but can not open the same. If you want to check for what the driver file is, then go to the website of the devise manufacturer for which the driver file is and get the information from there...

It's a device driver...

You can't open it.. but you can load them.

I'd make a copy and change the extention to TXT.

to see if anything descernable is there.
