Best thing you could do, is set up a desent workout and decrease your garbage in. There is no easy way to lose weight and keep it off. If you truely wish to have more energy and slim down, hard work is the only thing that will do it.
First eat a good breakfast (bowl of cereal/oatmeal, some lean sausage or bacon, some OJ, and a banana). Around 2 hours after eating, spend an a hour swimming (see if you can talk to a swimming coach to help set up a work out). An hour at first will seem extremely hard, and I won't sugar coat it, you will be very very sore for the first 2 weeks. After swimming, go home, have a low calorie snack (i.e. fruit, salad, etc.). At 12-1p.m. have a desent meal (if you need a hand, check out weight watchers to get some ideas). For an evening dinner, eat some thing very low in calories and high in protein (low fat meats like chicken and fish are best).
After the first month of swimming, you should see a great increase in your muscular and cardiovascular endurance. At this point, add running in the evening to your work out. Start off with a 3 mile run. Keep pushing yourself to run/jog the entire 3 miles. Once you are able to do so (may take a while), increase the length of the run by half mile increments every other week.
If you really want to step things up, you can add some weight training a few times a week rotating with the running. (Mon-run, Tues-weights, Wed-run, Thur-weights, Fri-run). Just have a morning swim on Sat to give your body a time to recover.
If you do this regime, you will be in far better shape than anyone else on your football team. Your body may not completely be as fit looking, but the muscular and cardio endurance that you have gained will allow you to do football workouts with ease. Your only 13, so the muscle mass will come as you age.
I played football, wrestled, and swam. No athlete is in better shape than a wrestler or swimmer (Provided they actually workout). Running is great, but it only provides endurance to your cardio and lower body. Swimming works every muscle in the body, plus it is low impact on your joints which greatly helps out those who are overweight. I wish football coaches would add a swimming regimen to their offseason workouts. Their players would get in great shape, while lowering any chances for injuries.

Cut your calorie intake. Quit eating flour and sugar. That right there will drop pounds. Exercise! Run! Stay off the computer!
There are no quick fixes. You CAN lose the weight quickly, but you'll also put it back on just as quickly ... plus more! If that's not what you want, do it the right way.
Eat smart, cut your calorie intake (try to keep a "journal" of all the foods you eat every day, that way you'll know what you need to work on), cut out sugar & flour products!
Since it's summer, get your mom to buy more fruits and fresh vegetables for you to snack on. Talk to your mom, ask her to help you. You can't do this on your own, and she'll be able to buy the kinds of foods that you should be eating.

You don`t need a diet ,you need to burn off the calories you are taking in .Walk ,run, swim ,lift weights and stay away from the refridgerator. Get involved in a sport that can be played in the summer and that will prepare you for football.
A diet is a temporary fix ,you need a lifestyle change that is permanent,

Ask a doctor what would be the best way to lose weight as quickly as possible without wrecking your health. Stay away from diet pills if you can, unless they're prescribed and you're not planning on using them long-term. I took diet pills at 16 and had to have gallbladder surgery when I lost weight too quickly.

There is this product found at Sams Clubs and Costco's called Body Choice. If you take 1 ounce a day (32 ounce bottles) it will give you energy like a Monster drink but more then that, it curbs ones appetite. Additionally, it eliminates the desire for carbs and sugars. The stuff is $29.95 a bottle but works!

Losing wait to fast its very bad for your health.
Your 13 and your organs are in a stage of development so they need a lot of “fuel”.
The best think to do is:
*Have 01 meal a day + breakfast
*Salads for dinner
This diet helped me lose 23 lbs in 45 days.

diet eat lots of protein.
You are trying to gain muscle mass...and lose fat.
Also, you are trying to gain "speed"
Start running. I played football in H.S. I was a linebacker. I began a little overweight and adjusted my diet.
How to practice running:
First run about a mile, so that you can do it without stopping. After that take rests. Go to your high school track.
Then run around the lap one time as fast as you can.
Take a rest. Now break up the track into fourths.
Run fast for the fourth...walk the next fourth...run the next fast...and walk the next quarter track.
Do this for a mile
Then
Break it up into 8th's and repeat.
What you want to do...is practice with quick bursts of speed and at the same time gain endurance for being able to run longer without getting exhausted.
I had to eventually give up running and football. But I coached little league.

Not sure if you can do it in 3 months, but Weight Watchers is the best. It gives the most flexibility and variety of foods. None of this cutting out a whole food group. You get vegetables, meat, even dessert. It's all about counting points.

If you want to be ready for football, then you have to not only have a balanced diet, but also you have to exercise so when you start playing football, you are ready to take the pressure.
Remember that you are only 13 years old and your body is growing, but if you dont eat sufficiently, your body might not develop properly so you have take what your body needs.
good luck little dude.
