Because, once upon a time, we all had a question that someone was nice enough 2 answer 4 us. So. we're reciprocating &, if the universe is keeping score, we know that we've paid our debt. And becasue knowledge is a wonderful thing 2 share. Keep asking, I'll keep answering!

Because people want to feel important. It's very clever that Yahoo! Answers has no discussion feature. So flamewars can be avoided for the most part, and people can just happily voice their opinions.

There are 3 factors here. One is the generosity in people wanting to help someone. And the other is for the points. Plus it is fun and time consuming when there is nothing else to do.

hay if a question is fronm somebody who needs a answer that i can answer that i give them the answer BUT if it if from a kid doinG thair homework they can look it up themself or a idiot asking stupid questions i give stupid answers i enjoy helping ppl who i can help BUT i LOVE having a go at the idiots even better
