yeah i think it is a suitable question but i think it has been asked before.... but first a chicken has to lay the egg and laying hens set on their eggs to hatch them...unless you have a incubater that they can hatch out in...i have done this and of course it will not hatch if the egg was not fertile...means the rooster had to of well you get the idea...so i hope this helps...and you should try raising baby chicks.. they are so cute but some die so easy too...
