Baptists are a little more Calvinistic and Methodists are a little more Arminian. You would notice it is doctrines like, can you lose your salvation or not. Baptists normally believe in eternal security, (Calvinism) Methodists that you can lose it. (Arminianism) Also Baptists tend to be more doctrinal Methodists more experiential, although that is changing more recently as many churches are becoming more experiential.

Methodists are much like pentacostals but without the emphasis on tongues and healing etc.

Methodists believe in accepting Jesus as do Baptists but that whole doctrine is relatively new. 50 years ago most churches believed that we came to Chirst as repentant sinners and He accepted us. That has been reversed in the last half century and now Christ pleads with us and we accept Him. Something to think about.

I am neither but I do believe that to be a Christian you must accept Jesus - after all you wouldn't be a CHRISTian, would you?
