I know this is an odd question and I'm not trying to be funny. A friend who I love was in an accident ten years ago that killed his two best friends. He was driving and under the influence. He was punished for his behavior and has become one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. However, he still grieves and it interupts his life severly. I know if he could talk to people who have been in his situation or can relate to his situation, it would help him feel less guilty and heart broken. I've Googled and Yahood and AltaVistad for support groups but I don't think there are any. If any one can help in any way, I would appreciate it. Mostly I would like to find someone who has been in his situation and can be his companion in recovery. (sidenote: He is already in therapy but I think this will help him as well.) Thank you so very much in advance.

I think a good way for him to heal or to begin to forgive himself is to maybe go to A.A. meetings, or even high schools, and talk about the ordeal. I think the more vocal he is about it, the more it will help him get it out of his system. It might be hard at first but after if he finds it in himself, it could help not only him. Maybe he can help others by talking about his experience with people who would be learning such an important lesson in life.

See what he thinks about it. He has to basically learn to forgive himself.

Seriously, if your friend still has feelings of grief, and what not, you can share something positive with him: Revelation 21:4: And he(Jehovah God) will wipe out every tear from their (mankind) eye, and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away.

Jehovah God will resurrect the righteous and the unrighteous people, not to judge ANYONE at all, thats the truth, but, the two friends killed, will have a chance of living again; if you and your friend would like to know more, PLEASE contact a Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, under churches in the phone book, or call information, hope this helps

He need's to never forget the mistake he made, and learn from it. Him drinking and driving was wrong to start with. If he talks to anyone it should be GOD, and let him show your friend the way.

if hes in therapy, hes doing the right thing.i dont think talking to other people in the same boat will help, they need to put it behind them, and go on with their lives, not relive it over and over again.
