I'd say that it depends on what the definition of a miracle is. Does it have to be something that is completely unexplainable by modern science, or could it just be a great occurrence? Far less miracles are reported because science can give an explanation for them. This doesn't mean that they are any less important, just that people don't report them as much.

Miracles actually happened only during the times mentioned in the bible both in the old testament and plenty more in the New Testament.

A christian missionary group mentioned to me once that when they prayed over a boy with small deformed fingers, they actually witnessed it start to grow to a normal size. I could say that they were speaking the truth.

But then, we hear so many 'godmen' or other religions and many Christian 'godmen' on the TV channels seem to perform miracles - calling it 'healing' services. There are many who swear that they are cured and many who doubly swear that they suffered deception. Strangely these TV healers seem to do healing only 'on stage' - they can cure mostly 'deaf' or 'pains here and there'. I have not heard anyone curing Cancer, Diabetes, Aids. If they were indeed curers, they can visit hospitals, or they can open a healing hospital and cure for 'free'

The bible says that in the last days there will be many of these -so called miracle makers - they'll perform miracles so great that even the chosen ones will be misled. So one has to take care.

I've experienced a few...

I have an experience that is TOO LONG to share here... where my father... who was a police officer was ambushed... and he should have DIED. However, a lot of "improbable" things happened and he lived for another 20 years.

That whole process was a MIRACLE. Right down to an unexplained computer glitch, that had a MASH style doctor at the hospital, to particpate in the surgery.

They do.
Everyday. Everywhere. You just need to have the eye for them. They happen for those who believe they happen.
For some people, their pessimistic attitude makes miracles seem like absurdly good luck or a big mistake.

I have experienced miracles in life, small things that could have happened a thousand different ways, or not have happened at all, but they occured so perfectly, to make my life the way it is.
THOSE are miracles.
