There's an Owl sanctuary in the New Forest that is well worth a visit. Talks and demonstrations.
Have a great time.

If you've got kids then Paultons Park is very good, it's near Romsey. Any walk along the sea front is nice. You can get a ferry from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle then walk back along the sea, good views of Isle of Wight. Lots of boat trips from Lymington aswell if you fancy going to Isle of Wight or along coast.

Lyndhurst is a really nice place. Few touristy bits/museums, beautiful surrounding area, not too far from anywhere, plenty of places to dine & the best curry house I've ever been to! Lymington is very nice too.
