can i just clarify to one or two people who have posted answers i am not advertising anything just offering some help if i can.

please try to refrain from sarcastic or poor attempts at humour in your answers,im afraid that to millions of people low self esteem and lack of confidence is a really seriuos issue.

Yes, I do. I've always had low self esteem and lacked confidence, even from a very early age for some reason. I always did well at school, I'm currently a few daya away from qualifying as a doctor, and yet I still feel useless and worthless. I feel like nothing I say is of any significance or relevance to anyone, I don't understand why anyone would like me unless I DO something to make them like me. I constantly worry about what other people think about me. I could go on and on......

My poor confidence and low self esteem led to severe social anxiety, which (since I didn't get any help with) in turn led to a severe depressive episode, with associated self harm and suicidal tendencies. I'm now slowly improving with the help of a psychiatrist and some anti-depressants, but my self esteem and self confidence remain very low.

No!My husband(of 5 yrs.) is self- employed and me.... I just sit around. When he gets home I have his things ready. He takes care of me and I take care of him. He's one the reasons why I don't have low self esteem. CONFIDENCE?!.... I would say that I have good confidence but not great because.....I would like to persue a career in many things but don't always finish because I feel that I may not have what it takes.

1stly I understand where u are coming from, i suffered from low self esteem and all the **** that comes with it and believe me its hell, theres nt much you can do, but the only thing that helps is belief, someone started believing in me and taught me to believe in my self, not many people are as bad as they think they are and thats y so many people comit suicide because of low self esteem and hate. The smallest amount of teasing used 2 throw me into a downward spiral.

U arent as bad as wat u think. even tho i dont no u, its true that we always think the worst of ourselves. We think were mean, or harsh, we think were fat or ugly, we think we are useless, bt u no wot, no one is useless, no one is ugly, because beauty either resides from within or from the outside, its your choice.

You are starting to develop the right way, by asking about it is a start. dont give up and dont listen to the idiots who dont care.
