I mean the way it is meant to work is you find some evidence you make a theory and others try to disprove that theory or discredit your evidence if they are successful you go away again and try to find more evidence or accept it as incorrect if they are unsuccessful at disproving you then it becomes fact. Now theists make a theory present no evidence then get all snappy when someone asks them for it and then asks them to disprove god, well you can't discredit the theists evidence if they haven't presented any. Also with all things a lack of evidence means that it can’t be proven so it isn’t true we only accept facts as true not opinions but oooh no not in the minds of the theists a lack of evidence means it MUST BE TRUE! How backwards are these guys?

TommyG the bible is a book. Not a verry good book at that as it has been changed so mush over time. The bible is a story book it's not true. You are going to need some better evidence than that.

Don't try and use logic on a Theist! They have Faith! Which is impervious to logic, science, evidence, facts, reason et. al.

I really don't understand why Theists even get into arguments about science. They end up making the same lame excuses. Evolution is a theory, macroevolution blah blah. Carbon 14 is faulty, The earth is flat......

They should stay away from scientific arguments all together...

Well, granted, it is backwards. But Atheists don't help it either. LOL Now, granted, when they scream they can prove it, it just makes them look foolish. Especially when they get cornered and they provide the "get out of this **** free" verse... the one that defines Faith itself as something HOPED for yet NOT seen.
Personally, I don't think Science itself will ever prove or disprove the existance of God(s). As most religions aren't based on Science itself. So, all in all, it's silly to try to mix the two on that level. Unless, of course, you are saying that Parapsychology is a True Science, but then you'd have some evidence of spiritual activity, at least. If you don't see it as a True Science, why are you trying to bring the rest of the "spiritual"/paranormal in where you won't allow that?

atheist have their own believes and u have yours. Like when people that are religious start quoting the Bible and they only take certain parts from it and do not tell a whole story and MAN wrote that bible. I asked once a simple question about Adam and Eve and u know this very religious woman could not even answer me. The bible makes no sense and never will. What is stopping the publishers of the bible in time altering or removing texted from it? Like when was the bible written and how long after Jesus was crucified did these stories get written down? I think that for atheist and christian believers have to explain both sides of their believes to make their point. We should respect everyones choices and live and let live since we have the right to make that choice for ourselves to believe in religion or not. How do u know who is wrong and who is right?

Actually in the scientific community you must present your theory, then you must prove it.If you can not it remains a theory. We have presented our evidence,it is the Bible. You attempt to dis credit it with your own supposition science can not and never has dis proved any of the Bible.Geology and radio carbon dating are the usual methods tried But in fact neither one of those are in fallible or even proved to be true, they are simply accepted by the scientific community because they are the only tools at hand.

You are describing the scientific method as if it is the only method for discovering truth. In fact, there are many ways to learn things. I am sorry, but I do not feel that I have lack of evidence for the existence of God. It's just evidence of the kind that you aren't willing to accept, perhaps.

Lack of evidence does not make it true. Lack of evidence makes it a theroy, and nothing more.

I am a Christian, and while I feel I have proof in my own life that makes my belief true to me, it is not hard factual evidence I can argue a point with a non-believer with. So my belief is just theory to everyone else, even if its truthful and factual to me.

backwards in terms of science.

which is why creationism and intelligent design will never as long as i am alive be taught as science in the state of connecticut.

it's forwards in terms of religion. and it should remain in the realm of religion because you need faith to believe it. and that's not necessarily bad, to believe that god created the earth, you can believe that if you want to, but just be aware that you can't prove it.
