Belly rings are cool though!
l'm not a fan of pins in the nose myself, but it depends on the girl if they look good or not, some don't look to bad!

Nose piercings are traditional in some cultures. Caucasian females and males sometimes have their noses pierced because in their opinion it is attractive or they may be wishing to make a punk statement or statement about their individuality.
Clearly, you do not find such a piercing attractive. You are entitled to your opinion but life is easier for everyone if each individual takes responsibility for being open-minded.

I had my nose pierced because I married into a Pakistani Muslim family (actually it was just an excuse as I'd wanted it done for ages) and it enabled me to wear LOTS of gold for my wedding (in a red saree). In my husband's family's culture it's a traditional way of displaying wealth - in a similar way, when I married him, his familly gave me lots of gold in case I wanted to divorce him - I could sell the gold and start a new life.
I now wear a half carat diamond in my nose and I think it looks great!

I had one, but had to take it out for work. I like them, but only a small stud, not a big ring, that looks gross. Theres this chick ive seen a couple times with 2 piercings on either nostril and she wears rings - bigger than ordinary ones - in each - yuck!! she looks like a bull or something!! lol!

Some are cultural, and some people love to have things pierced...
Personally, I think some of them can look great on girls..

I have my belly button pierced but that is as far as I would take it. I love my little piercing and have been told by loads of people that its sexy!!!
