I didn't produce much milk with my first child and had to bottlefeed. Of course, I had a general anesthetic with my c section and that deters milk production. Low milk production, however, is common for first babies. There's nothing that will make her lactate except for mother nature. Why would this stop you from having a second child? She more than likely will lactate better with the second. If she doesn't, while breastmilk is better, there are some very good formulas on the market nowadays. I couldn't breastfeed either of my 2 sons because of the c sections and anesthesia and they are very healthy teenagers.

Well there is a product at your local vitamin store or you can most likely find it on the internet. It's called {Organic Morther's Milk} it promotes healthy lactation and is traditionally used to increase breastmilk production. You also have to stimulate the breast for lactation to come (if you a have a pump you can stimulate with or you can also massage the breast) This tea is a bit bitter you can put sugar in it to taste better. IT WORKS Good Blessings

Has she tried using a breast pump? I saw this one thing on t.v. about how adoptive mothers start using a breast pump to bring on lactation naturally. Once the pump starts expressing milk the baby can take over from there. This helps adoptive mothers feel more like they are a part of the natural childbirth process as well as giving the baby the benefits of breast milk.

You cannot just make her lactate. And I have never heard of a woman not lactating at all after birth. She needs to be talking to her doctor. There are alot of formulas for babies out there. Not being able to lactate shouldn't keep ya'll from having more children.

Your wife cannot lactate now, give it up.. The only way you can test this again is for her to deliver another child.

i understand the pain of not feeding child .we all consider and its proven that mother's milk is the best for infants .there are certain tablets available for generating milk in the mother .my friend had this problem and her doctor has prescribed medicine which helped her in producing milk .please talk to a doctor and counsell her that she will be able to do it . the more the child tries to suck from mother's breast the more milk will be produced .even if milk is not coming ,if the child is given a chance to try taking milk from his mother naturally milk will start coming .there are certain foods that helps for lactating . such as Raw Papaya(make curry with it ).. i dont think that it is impossible for anybody to lactate .talk to ur doctor

Maybe it is a physical reason why your wife can't breastfeed, but maybe it's a mental reason, and if your wife doesn't want to breastfeed it's her choice you give up alot being a mother going through the pregnancy, the birth and sometimes there is nothing left to give and you need to withdraw and just be you without a child hanging off you every 3hrs

I dont think that is possible without hormones. Some women just cant breastfeed at all. It's no big deal. Formula is almost just as good. Why did the first child have complications because of no breastmilk? Millions of babies are formula fed.

why the second kid?? the world is plenty populated as it is and this is really unfair to do to her.
farmers give hormone shots to cattle to help them produce more milk I dont know if their is a similar thing for people or not.. but really think "hey you had one kid, you had complications with him, do you want to risk another? what if this is a genetic problem is it fair to pass it on? the world is over 6.5 Billion people.. its only a matter of time before we have to impliment death sentences for people over 40yrs old to keep our population in check"
so do your son, and wife, a favor and quit at one kid
