Irish_bi_female good point. Of course the losers will say satan created evil on earth it's always the way they want to believe god created everything but god couldn't create anything bad so either man or satan created that. Please just accept there is no god.

Well all this to send people who he doesn't want in heaven doesn't sound very benevolent of god at all perhaps he doesn't love everyone after all and the bible lied to you.

There are almost 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Noone can possibly tell what's in those other galaxies. That just goes to show the limitation of man and how 'small' we are. There must be a greater being than man (God) who knows what's in those galaxies and has the answer to many questions I want to ask myself. So why did God create hell? If I knew the answer, I'd be God. I live by faith and the bible and it says - all unrepentant people will go to hell. And it is logical. It's for a similar reason people go to prison here on earth.

For punishment.

You know, my mom loves me and wants the best for me, but when I did something naughty, I was punished. Same thing. It is the ultimate punishment for your rejection of Salvation.

Look at it this way, he created a place of great reward, or a place of great punishment, and you get to choose where you want to end up. Simple.

Noone said God was all nice and cuddly. He loves us, but we will be punished. He is a vengeful and jealous God, he says so himself.

And perhaps, he does exist, ever thought of that one?

If, in the end, I have believed, but discover I am wrong, and death is just death, than I have lost nothing. If a non-believer dicovers he is wrong, and after death there is heaven or hell, he is going to be kicking himself in the a** .

Appreciate the follow up, nd read the link. So you stand in front of God, and say "Opps, I couldnt find you?" And then what. He says, "Gee kid, Im sorry. Look at the countless other people who did, but for you I will make an exception, so come on in?" Not going to happen.

Gamble with your life if you want, its yours to lose.

And no, mom didnt punish me with eternal damnation, but she also couldnt offer eternal life. Equal reward, equal punishment. Live forever, Burn forever.

Hell is a fiery pit. God created it because it is a constant reminder to the devil of what he gave up. Luke 16:23. Every time the devil looks up he sees a mere human receiving power and the love of God that he mostly wanted. The devil was an angel. We are humans. And to see that God gave a son and so much to us is a slap in the devil's face. So the devil tries to destroy our purpose. So, he can say to God, "Do you see what you gave your son for." But every time we follow God's plans for our lives the devil is reminded of where he has to be for eternity. John 3:16 says that we will have everlasting life if we believe. Everlasting has no end.

Ex. you are poor and at your wits end. you receive a lottery ticket that's worth more then you could spend or give away. On the ticket it says everlasting. but because you were greedy and wanted to be like the creator of the ticket. Cause you thought if the creator of this ticket can afford to give me money forever, then I want to be in that state, So, the ticket was tooken from you. The creator didn't have anyone to give it to so made this being that's worth nothing. The being was thankful for being created and in turned followed the Creator of the ticket. The creator was so pleased that he gave the ticket to that being that was worth nothing. Now you have to look at this being receive everything that you should have gotten. That's torment. So, now you are on a mission to steal kill and destroy. To prove to the creator of the ticket that the being he created will mess up and is weak.

Who has been filling your ears with the idea of a nice cuddly god. GOD is a Mighty GOD, and a Vengeful, and a Jealous GOD. Our GOD is a GOD of Wrath That Shall Smite Down Our Enemies Before us. THis Is not A god For the faint OF heArt.
Tithe Now $10, salvation guaranteed or double money back

God didn't "create hell" as a form of punishment. Hell exists as a "place" absent from the presence of God.

Every individual is free to chose their own path in life. God's foreknowledge does not negate our free will. Therefore, God is not responsible for "sending people to hell"...you as an individual send yourself there if you reject His Grace.

The bible isn't exactly a haven of cuddliness. There were locusts, and he made people walk for 40 years for a land of milk and honey people weren't sure existed.

I would question whether cuddly is the right word to use.

Hell is only a (non)place where there is no God, for those who chose not to want to be with Him after they are gone from this earth.

why did your mom spank you when you did something wrong? restitution. God makes the rules, because He created us. if you are gonna live in this Universe, you gotta follow His rules. if you had kids and they didnt follow your rules, what would you do? pat them on the head and say "oh its ok, you can run rampid like that"? i dont think so (or at least i hope not). apply the same concept to Hell.

Check the manual for the Christian faith: hell isn't in there. Check www.bibletruths.com to hear from a guy who reads the Bible then upsets most Christians by explaining it very clearly.
