I would love to know the answer to that question too. I guess they don't care.
I live in an apt. complex and there is a big playground for the kids well no one watches their kids here.
I do mine though cause you never know what might happen to a kid with no one watching them.
But these people here are goofy as hell. I was walking by someones door one day and i heard a lil girls mommy tell her to go outside and to not come back in until dark. That lil girl is only 5 years old.
Another thing that is happening here is all these young kids are playing "spin the bottle" and i have told some parents but they still yet let their kids run wild.
And i heard they are doing more than kissing...Think

All these kids here are from 2years to like 12 years and no one watches them.

Just the other day 5 boys (under11) had a lil girl (age 8) held down on the ground feeling of her and no one done nothing not even the parents of either side.

I am fed up with where i live because of these kids. I never got to go outside without being watched when i was little and i never got to run wild when i was older.

I guess it really is the parents fault that their kids act the way they do. it is pitiful that a lil kid will be out at midnight here and no one comes out to even check on them.

People that are like that should not be allowed to have kids. I mean if you are not wanting to watch a kid you shouldn't have gotten pregnant.....Am i right?

It is annoying.
The thing is these days, parents have children to use them as a tax credit, or number of reasons.
Not me but I know a gal who had 6 kids, she never took responsibility, the community actually raised the kids, but she used their social security numbers for power, phones, and other bills because she was too lazy to get off her butt and pay her bills. She also didn't have to get a job because she had child support coming on on these same kids. It's dumb to do that, kids are the future, and when people allow their kids to run wild, it simply teaches the child not to respect other's. What ever happened to teaching our children responsibilities and how to be responsible, respectable people?
You know why the kids run wild? Well some day all the convicts in the prison systems now will die of old age, and we can't sit back and let our tax dollars go to waste, so the kids run wild preparing for their life of running wild behind those gates too!!!

Because Americans are lazy and they'd rather do their own thing than parent.

Because as a culture we accept wild kids as "kids just being kids"

Because we're self centered. We have kids to please ourselves but we don't want to make all the sacrifices it takes to raise a child properly

We let the TV raise many kids.

There is no disipline in schools or anywhere else. So the parent is never called out for having an out-of-control child.

Unfortunately ever since ADD, ADHD, childhood depression, etc have become common words, most parents have excuses for their poorly behaved kids

With many kids being raised by single parent or split households, they're never getting the consistency and benefit of being raised by a fulltime mom and dad

Parents that allow their child/children to run muck will regret it sooner or later. I live in a neighborhood that has kids runnin all over the place and because I still believe in the old adage of, "It takes a village to raise a child" I will step in and say something if that unsupervised child is doing something that I would not allow my two kids to do. Yes I am a very watchful and observant parent who does not allow my children ages 12 and 10 to go to far with out me being right there. I also instilled in them the values of respect and honesty so they pretty much follow the rules of not leaving the yard with out telling me EXACTLY where and with whom they are going. My ten year old daughter is not allowed outside by herself at all. Is that too paranoid or controlling. She is allowed to go outside with a friend or two but she has to be where I can see AND hear her. I am lucky enough to have kids that would rather hang out with me than run around the neighborhood causing problems for others. For NOW that is! Ha ha

Just be grateful that you have the sense to teach your kids the proper way.And feel sorry for the other children who's parents don't give a dam. They let their kids run wild simply because they don't care.

because they are lazy and it is easier than doing their job as a parent.I'm a single parent itis hard but it is a lot harder watching yourkid from behind bars or seeing himseverly hurt or even dead I wish parents would relise the dangers THEY are putting their kids in.
