You might want to start off in individual treatment so you can discuss your treatment goals and plans with a therapist. Each person suffering from it has had a different experience, so you would want to figure out what's best for you first. However, when you feel ready to confront and talk about your past, you should include group treatment. The people there act as a good support group, offer encouragement, and show you're not alone. Hello, I'll try to make a very long story short!

PTSD is the new term of ALOT of individual issues, as you've already mentioned!

It probably is bested to see someone (you probably are) and break down each area! Most of the PTSD are due to our life traumas - Mine Childhood.
Added to mine is the chemical imbalance - Another conclusion of Titles!

I do wish you strength on your journey towards growth, not saying there's a conclusion - at least some ease along the way!
