Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned.
Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings.
By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries

Lucifer's position in Heaven was that of a guardian over God's treasury. As you can see, Lucifer became prideful, greedy and envious; was dishonest with God's goods and was expelled from Heaven. God didn't even take the time to escort him out, he had a minor angel do it for Him.

Lucifer was an angel. The name Lucifer means light or shining one. He is stated to be gods best an most loyal angel, which is why the incredibly important job of tempting humans was given to him. However consider, if angels are created beings, and only humans possess free will because we ate the forbidden fruit of knowledge how is it that Satan or Lucifer as you call him ever have been rebellious. He would have been a loyal servant of the lord, that is how he was made. The whole story sounds pretty hokey to me.Besides every one know,Angels don't have hearts, or belly buttons either for that matter.

Satan was an archangel--- very beautiful, very talented in music, basically like Gods right hand man... there a only a few archangels mentioned biblically... Lucifer, Gabrielle, and Michael ( there are others mentioned in Hebrew scripture) ..

He was a qerubim, which supposedly are high ranked angels. I've also heard he was the "ruler" of music in heaven.
