Yes. I find that once the basic needs of life are covered, everything else just takes care of itself. However, I enjoy simple pleasures, and I'm not a "stuff" person. I find that it's actually quite easy to live without money, as long as you don't value consumerism for it's own sake.
My personal possessions barely furnish a studio apartment. I don't own any complicated kitchen gadgets. In fact, I prefer to do most of my cooking with chopsticks, so I don't even own a spatula... When my girlfriend moved in with me two years ago, she was appalled that I don't own a blender or a microwave, and only have 2 knives for cooking.
After she decided she couldn't deal with my lifestyle, we moved to a two bedroom apartment to accommodate all her stuff. Now I have problems dealing with hers. I can never find anything in the kitchen when I need it, but I can always find some useless gadget I don't need. I don't even know what half of the crap she has in the kitchen is for... The woman owns 3 cheese graters, and buys all her cheese already grated. The other day I mentioned using one to make hash browns and you'd have thought I'd just shot Julia Childs from the reaction I got.
She is a "stuff" person to the core, and I'm continually amused at the things she owns that she never uses, but refuses to part with. Last month she used her blender for the first time. It was among her wedding gifts 12 years ago.
However, to answer your question more directly, there is a book called "Naked into the wilderness" that shows how to live off the land 100%. I've always enjoyed primitive camping, and I would be capable of that sort of lifestyle, but I'm something of an internet junkie, and love cable T.V. and coffee too much.

No. Not only because I can have a comfortable life with money, But becasue realistically no one can.
Assume you try to. Have a small farm that grows all your food requirements. You still need electricity and phones, and these cost money. Or take those away, what if you get ill? A doctor will cost money. If you have kids that need education, that will cost money, even if they are home schooled. And the list goes on.
The only way I know that people could live without money is Buhdist monks. They have no money and can not touch money, but survive somehow. But I'm not ready to be a buhdist just yet.

NO! Simply because no body barters anymore! But if you want to go homeless, the answer is: YES! When you are homeless, you can eat free, get free clothes, shoes, coats, hats, gloves etc. etc.. And if it gets too cold, there are free places to go and stay warm and sleep! Yes, I guess you can totally live without money, but even the homeless will cash in cans and bottles for some cash!

i regularly have no money. but i think that is just my own fault.
in reality, i don;t think i could.
but i have met people who do. While i was in Mozambique in 2002 it was announced as the third poorest country in the world.
i met people there who literally have no money. they live entirely off what they grow and what they can collect.

CAN I? Sure. I can, BUT:
Would I want to, choose to, have a good life, without it? Hell no.
As true to myself as I can get.
