Bali is an island located in Indonesia. It has nice weather and nice beaches. The most appealing thing is it is very cheap there! ;)

Bali offers traditional hotels into the most up-to-date hotels! There are also spa places, and other interesting places!

My own favorite is Lovina Beach, where you can see dolphins at the middle of the sea when the dawn is breaking.
And I also like Kuta area, where shopping is the daily meal. You can find bargainable things here along with modern shops like Giordano and Polo.

ANyone interested?

YES! My boyfriend and I, plus another couple are planning a trip to Bali in March of next year... I know it will be the rain season but we don't care!

I have actually been there before a few times - have stayed in Four Season in Ubud (loved it there-so peaceful-enjoyed the cart or BUGI ride), stayed in Westin Nusa Dua, we tried also Amanusa (was also a magnificent stay but too expensive, will not go back again unless I win the lottery).

Lots of places to eat, but the most memorable ones are Warung Made (in Kuta, they also have one in Seminyak), which serves local food and Cafe Warisan on Kerobokan Street (I have the address here if anyone's interested)... Cafe Warisan is a French restaurant BTW, and I LOVE the Foie Grass! Yes, honestly I don't remember much about the food in Kudeta restaurant but yes, the place is very very very cool and trendy but romantic, i love the openess of it - the set up is actually kind of like Cafe Warisan, but instead of facing the rice terraces in Warisan, the view from Kudeta is the beach...

Went to Double Six night club - I don't particularly like rave/trans music but the crowd was pretty good (mixed of locals and westerners).

Shopping was great too, local boutiques are cheap but bear in mind they're not dirt cheap! But good quality and I guarantee you will find one-of-a-kind clothing items, believe me am a shopping freak! Besides clothing stores, there are TONS of art stores with seriously beautifuly paintings made by local artists. OmG! I almost bought a few before but it was too much hassle for me but I promise next time I go I WILL BUY AT LEAST ONE PAINTING!

Yes. As with some others, I just got back from there a few weeks ago and I can't wait to go again. I agree the places to stay and the food is CHEAP. The people, when you actually stop and talk to them, are friendly.

I liked Kuta, a little, but I'm not a surfer, so the swimming wasn't good for me. I also loved Lovina. And Ubud. I really liked Padam Bai - to watch the ferry come in loaded with trucks and buses, and backpackers coming back from the islands. The little, out of the way beaches.

Thanks for posting this question, and maybe encouraging some people to go there. I loved it and I really think that more people would too if they gave it a chance. I found that I really can't afford to live home during the winter, with the prices of heating and gasoline. It's way cheaper for me to just hop a plane and stay there all winter long.

I stayed at Kuta beach in bali for a week in june. The road next to the beach had a mcdonalds, kfc, pizza hut, hard rock cafe and its full of bloody austraillians. Very comercial, but the beach itself is nice. I reccomend you hire a driver while your there and sit back and relax while you get to see all of the island without any hassle.

I went there years ago and it was beautiful. I wouldn't go again, too many Australians have been killed in bombings. Bali is a no-go zone now because of politics, sadly.
