im going to court tomorrow and will be asking a court appointed evaluator(MFT) some questions regarding my home evaluation. i want to show her the utmost respect but i don't know which way to address her. a judge would be your honor a phd would be doctor a high ranking service man general,kernal etc. etc.

If they hold a PHD. Dr. would be appropriate, if there is not a occupational "title", "Mr.Smith" or "Ms. Smith", I believe would be appropriate.

My mother is an advance register nurse practitioner. When she calls in Rx's she says this is Mrs. Smith. That is the appropriate way to approach them.

You could also explain to her or him you are a little nervous and ask how would you like me to address you Mr or Mrs and explain that you are not of the title I should call you. They will understand. My mother has gotten that question frequently and she always tells them Mrs. Smith.

By their preference. It is always best to ask them, or remember how they introduced their name when you meet and greet each other.
