Annoying margins are showing up in the corners of my document. How can I remove them?

I recently received a (unwanted) newsletter in Word's .doc format. The document was crafted on a PC that had 'right-angle' margins in the corner, so now, after reading the document, my Word has been altered too. I have come across this problem before, yet I couldn't fix it. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to remove these 'L' shaped right-angled margins?

It sounds like your WORD default doc was changed. You need to open that and remove the unwanted margins. Sorry, I can't think of the actual name right now.

check if the Text Boundaries is selected.

Tools, Options, View Tab
