Nope. Hoarding is a disease within itself in that you can't let things go in real life and shows signs of insecurities.

What is significantly worse in your case is the stuff you are hoarding like empty milk cartons (well don't cry over spilt milk), plastic wrap (what is that exactly?), lamp shades (have u now seen the light?) and toilet paper rolls (you are roll there)...these items are not worth hoarding so if at least if you are going to hoard do it sensibly and practically.

I used to hoard old music magazines because I hadn't read them in its entirerity or liked some articles/interviews and wasn't ready to part from them. A few months ago, I had a massive clearout and threw the whole lot out - liberating and save copious space in my house and not at least painful.

You need to address your insecurities and obsessions before it gets out of hand.

If you feel secure with junk around, then ou need a new source of security. There's so much stuff to do in life; why would you sit around collecting trash all day?

"Normal" is self-defined, so if it's not hurting anyone else too much, who cares what you are doing? You're an individual, and you shouldn't be concerned with how others think. Although having guests over would be awkward if you have all that stuff in your living room.

Don't think so, especially when u collect things that may not be usefull or have a hard time throwing away used things. Although when the things that u collect or don't dispose are damaging or affecting ur health espeially hygiene, then it becomes important to see a psycologist. i watched a show where a lady kept o collecting epty food cans and this made her apartment so dirty that it wood soon affect her health.
