As a non-stutterer, I believe there surely must be worse disabilities. Some people are living from a wheelchair or as amputees. To me, that seems pretty tough to know that you will never walk, or play the piano again, or play the sport you loved for years. For anyone WITH that or any other disability, there is none worse though, because it is what they're battling. I knew I guy who stuttered. I know for a fact that it didn't mean he was mentaly challenged in any way. He was a very clever, sharp person. I think that with some speech therapy, it often gets much much better. And I think if you are able to prove yourself as far as your job-related capabilities are concerned, any non-discriminating employer would be more than happy to hire you.

Either not being able to have long-term memory or being in a wheelchair for any kind of disability. Although autism causes some people to have amazing abilities.

I'd say having alzheimers, but that's a disease. It's the worst
because everything you are slowly crumbles to pieces.
A permanent disabilty I'd probably say paralysis from the neck down, I can't imagine anyone going though life like that.

i read this novel once, Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo, about this man who was in a war and he lost both arms, both legs, most of his face, including his eyes...i don't remember if he could hear or not....but i think that would be the worst. because he was fully conscious....not a vegetable....and felt all this pain and he could do absolutely nothing.
