Well, religion is going down, in popularity in most parts of the world. In Europe, all church leaders are worried about falling attendance. To attract adherents, rich churches, in US and Europe are spending money.
Religion is a fervor, where education and ecoomic conditions are poorer. Like most of South/ South East Asia, parts of Balkans, middle east etc.
Even there, a lot of money is spent to keep religious fervor alive. Saudi Arabia, chiefly, funds several madrasas in South Asia, and other parts of the world. A lot of Govt. money is spent in official Islamic countries, like Iran, Egypt, Arabia, Malayasia etc, to cater to the demands of religion. We may not see that money, becuase it is govt. money, but it is there.
So, its not just Christianity, that is 'marketing' its religion, and spending money to do it. Islam too spends a lot. The 3rd most popular religion, Hinduism/ Buddhism also spend money, though not as much ( not enough donor, except Japan for Budhdhism).

Those that are fragile in faith I believe use religion as a fashion statement. Have you ever noticed, 'cuz I have, people that have to back up their faith by wearing a cross the size of a ship's anchor.
It's not all Christians, I do know some that are cool people. But, I will say that most Christians seem like they are trying to see who can be more worthy of God's mercy.
Remember a Christian is living a mission.

Wow, you are one messed up person. My faith is not at all fragile. I have total faith in God and Jesus. I do not have faith in humans. They are creatures that can and do make mistakes, but humans are not perfect. Also they are not to be worshiped. I do not need proof of Jesus' power. I have faith in Him and in His power.
