I like the idea of a referee being able to give a fighter a few seconds and to take a look at him before stopping the fight.

It gives a referee breathing space to make a considered decision on the condition. I am all for the boxer to be stopped too early than too late.

if i can choose one rule to bring back, i'd rather see the 15th come back, i really don't like draws very much and if they bring back 15 rounds instead of the 12 they have now i think it will be more exciting cause in order for their to be a draw in a 15 round fight, it'll mean someone has had to been knocked down or better yet bring in 13 rounds so that way if a fighter wins the first 6 and than loses the next 6 it'll end in a draw but if you have that one extra round, we will see a winner. but the standing 8 count would be ggod too.

i agree! I'd rather have a fighters night end because the referee was too cautious rather than be too late and have a serious injury occur
