Before the days of microwave popcorn we had popcorn popping machines. When I was a kid growing up we had one. It was really cool and made great popcorn but was probably from the 60s. Anyways, one night my brother and I tried to pop the unpopped kernels using the machine. They popped but only partially (kind of like those weird ones on the bottom of the bowl that have a little of fluff around the edges). I think that once they are heated they either have to pop or will never pop normally again.

u might be able to, not for sure....if u want to try, pour a very small amount of oil in the bottom of a pot with a lid. turn it on high, (lid on) and just shake it over the burner till u hear popping. when the popping slows down, it's done. be careful when u take the lid off.....its very hot.

You can try but you probably won't have any success. Moisture in the kernels is what makes them pop, and the duds are usually pretty dry.

I've never tried to, but it says right on the package that you're not supposed to. Give it a try and let us know if it works.
