Some information states that Christianity has assumed some pagan symbols, ritual etc... Christmas for example... was Christ born in Dec.? No. This has to do with the equinox, Pagan holiday and such. The fish symbol is allegedly taken from the Pagan Goddess symbol if you were to put it upright tail facing down. The debate can go on and on, but factually, Paganism existed long before Christianity ever came into play.

Christianity certainly is a pagan religion. It was an offshoot of a widespread cult originating from a Canaanite War God, incorporating bits and pieces from almost every other religious faith it has brushed against for the first 1500 years or so of it's existence.
Virgin birth? Same as Mithra
The Trinity? Same as Hermes Trimestes
Sacrifice of the godhead and resurrection? Try Odin's on Yggasdril, or Osiris's dismemberment and rebirth.
Mulitple Gods? Call them saints and it's okay.
Xmas and Easter? Ancient "pagan" solstice celebrations.
Feeding the 5000? Take a look at the Cauldron of Bran
For the record, "pagan" simply means a religious belief followed by the common people--especially by farmers, peasants etc (which can definitely be applied to many christians). It's only in very recent times that the term has been vilified by the Christian faith to refer to non-christians.

Christianity appears to have borrowed some of it's traditions from pagan sources. The Virgin Birth was something attributed to Mithra, a Soldier God known to the Romans. Many of the modern Christian holidays do have their roots in paganism: Christmas is near the darkest day of the year, a time traditional for a Festival of Lights. Easter is all about fertility, which is not a Christian value or concept. Easter's name is even derived from Eostar, a Germanic goddess of fertility and life from death. Christianity is big into evangelicalism, which is to say that gaining new converts is very important to them. One way to convince someone to join your cult is to have similar symbology to what they are used to, but give it a different spin, or message. Look at St. Patrick. The clover was a potent pagan symbol and he turned it into a Christian one. They basically have something to sell you and had to work on the packaging to make it more appealing to the market. I could go into the actual meaning of the word 'pagan', but I wont. Christianity might be paganistic in its origins, but by definition, it cannot be a pagan religion.

Christianity is not a pagan religion. The trinity is not the same as the Egyptian trinity which made God three persons oneness. The christian trinity is like time Past, present, future and yet its all time. Just like the father, Son, holy spirit is all God.God didn't have sex with mary it was divine Holy spirit, not sexual intercourse.

Whoa. God did not have children with human women. He did not require human sacrifice, (unless you mean Jesus), and certainly not because he was angry. Trinity, 3 in 1, not three seperate Gods.
And by definition, pagan specifically means "one who is not Christian",
so no matter how you spin it, the answer is No.

For all the nay sayers arguing that Christianity is not a pagan religion, your right! It is however a cult and one that is based off of many other religions and faiths. Every aspect of the Christian faith and cult religion is indeed 100% proven to be stolen and borrowed and adapted from other faiths and religions.
Technically speaking the word pagan is a christian term derived to persecute, bias and spread hatred and intolerance toward non christian believers.
Furthermore the so called jesus by all beliefs and descriptions and identifications is in fact a "Demi-God". Look it up, the definition is identical.
Not one piece of christianity is of its own. It is all borrowed and stolen and twisted truths and portions of, from so many other faiths and religions. If you Read the definition of the word and term "cult" you can apply christianity very easily. {"CULT"}
" A system of religious veneration and devotion toward a particular figure or object." That is exactly what christianity does and is. Furthermore it is defined also as:
"A group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister" And by non Christians it is regarded as both.
"A mispace or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing" That is 100% what christiand do with their "Demi-God" jesus.
"Demi-God" " A being with partial or lesser divine status, such as a minor deity, the offspring of a god and a mortal, or raised to divine rank"
"A man who is greatly admired or respected"
As you see both Christianity and jesus fit clearly in all areas of definitions...
The only reason anyone argues these facts is because they can not bare to look at themselves in the light that they persecute, hate and spread intolerance upon themselves. Anyone who has studied religions, faiths and history knows that every belief christianity has is borrowed and twisted and or stole from other faiths and religions that existed well before christianity and even judiasm for that matter.
One should not base what thy believe or have faith of to be absolute truth..Niether faith or belief is fact! Neither can be proven in any regard or manner. There is no evidence to support, prove, or disprove any thing regarding a faith or belief.
However when it comes to written and archeological history much can be proven about absolute truth. And such is about the origins and teachings and such about Christianity and bible based religious cults.
Historical evidences prove they are indeed a cult and based off fully from pagan beliefs.
