It's known as elite-speak, or L337 $p34k. It originated in communities of computer gamers/hackers when they wanted to codify what they had to say. It's quite commonly used online these days, but I find it mightily irritating!

it's a (why not!) question to have an ID.
sometimes I like this generation's idea's , some times I try to explore their mind by observing their attitudes.. I think when they're doing such things they justify it by putting a (why not)question . why can't a 3 be an E , why don't a 5 means (S)..and so on
there wo'nt be an ID for the generation if an (E) will stay an (E) for ever .
