i just hope that when i'm old i'm one of two things:
in good enough condition to still take care of myself, even if i'm not in as good condition as i am now.
OR
so incredibly out of it that i dont care about practically anything.
either way, its gonna be cool. because old men are the only ppl on the planet that are totally honest all the time. they'll say whatever they feel like, and not care who hears it. because they're the only ppl on earth that arent always trying to get laid.

Losing pieces of my life. Losing my independence whether it be memory or physical problems. Losing my driver's license. Losing my home and living in some strange place. Losing friends (because they are dying off). GOD FORBID that one of my kids die before I do. Losing my wife.
Dying is easy its the suffering thats hard...

Losing control, in general. Personally, I wouldn't WANT to live at 80 years old. Everything falls apart, and you have to rely on strangers in a nursing home to empty your bedpan. What a nightmare.

My biggest fears of growing old are:
Not having any medical coverage because of presidents like BUSH.
Not being able to retire because of men like BUSH.
Becoming incontinent.
Wondering how my wife will handle me aging.
Not knowing if I'll have anyone to help me if I need it.

That someday... I'll be an orphan. I can't imagine life without my grandparents and mom. Besides my husband they're the only family I have.

failing health in general. i mean, some older people stay wonderfully healthy, but let's face it..the majority don't.
losing mobility. series health problems, and as your age increases chances for dimensai and alzheimers increases, and that would be scary to not really know who is waking up next to you every morning.

My grandchildren switching my medicine around when I'm not looking... Damn punks, in my day, we had to drive to the pharmacy, now they got all these hover-whatchas and holo-things... Uhhh...what was I saying again, honey?

I'm very independent so it would probably be depending on someone else to do things for me.
