Yes. I do it and I need to stop! I hate when I do that! Look, what I think it is - well, it's sorta similar to the 'chain letter' thing; but in reverse. Where as for the 'chain letter' one person mailed it to you so you have to mail it to five others. As for the 'I'll call you'; several girls have told him that he could call - when he does - they aren't there, or they just don't pick up the phone. So, unfortunately for you, you might be a great person - he'll never find out because the women before you have implanted the 'call me later' program in his head. So he thinks that you may not even answer your phone. There is a slight chance he my have gotten discouraged and threw the number away. Don't be upset with him if he did. Get his number and call him. -peace.

Oh ya...
They will say it just to End the Conversation...
But sometimes when a guy says that he means he will call you next time he finds something to do... that may be a couple of day or even Weeks...

It's an easy out. If he says he will, then there will be no more discussion on it... opposed to saying he won't call, which would get a girl asking questions. Guys have their own ways of getting around things, just like girls do.

some guys say it just to make you think they like you, or to get out of a really aweful date. but there are also some guys who will completely be into you and can actually be interested in calling you. it could be a beginning for a relationship or a friendship that part is actually up to both of you.

I can only speak from personal experience...you betcha!!! (lol). If he says he'll call and doesn't, it's probably got nothing to do with you. He might have something to hide, or maybe he doesn't want to hurt the girl's feelings. But if he said he'd call, I wouldn't call him. If he was sincere, he'll call.

Of course that's how guys work... However if u want him to call you and he doesn't call him... Because sometimes they are just forgetful and do not realize how saying one thing and doing another hurts the women in thier lives

Yes. It's easier for someone to say that they will call someone else, rather than deal with any questions or resistance if they told the person that they had no interest in them.

sadly that is a yes some guys are just plan mean..they dont want you to see you cry or mad so they say they'll call but in reality they wont but on the other hand theres guys who love you so much they'll call the second they say they were

Yes, I'm afraid so. Some don't know how to end a call or a date or a meeting so that's their get out line.

Most guys don't want to be the jerk that says "Sorry but I just don't like you" or "Sorry but I'm not interested in having a relationship....I'm only looking for a good time"
Either way...it's easier to mislead than to be honest...especially if your not going to see them again.
