There are those who want those borders to be open to anyone who wants to come here and work, to do the jobs that citizens won't do.

There are those who say that this country shouldn't speak English as our official, national language not everything from Arabic to Vietnamese. The letter "W" would be Welsh, and there are no languages I can find for "X" and "Z". "Y" would stand for Yiddish.

And finally, there are those who would dissolve our American culture in a flood of multi-cultural "diversity".

We have to put up with all this because it is politically correct to do so. Otherwise, someone might have their feelings hurt. Someone might be uncomfortable. It wouldn't be fair! Hey, life isn't fair, and you need to grow some calluses on those feelings. As for your discomfort, step back, because that's me, standing on your toes!

You do need one language it has a purpose, for good communication one must be able to communicate. Also the cost of putting things in too many languages would be insane look what it is costing our schools. And unity has protection in many things.
You are very correct, Too many are not being reasonable and trying to sound like they are. It had become socially acceptable to speak of rights for one and ignore others who rights are being stepped on.
It is alright if someone needs their toes stepped on (as you put it) to make them pay attention. Too many have become numb in their views and surroundings. I just hate being pushed.

Most of our language is bastardized from other languages.

America is not necessarily anyones culture. I am sure the Indians and Eskimo's would disagree.

We are not lemmings, we are not all the same. There are 363 languages here. Why is it so damn important that English be declared the official language!

You know the Supreme Court has already struck down 2 states who passed an English only law!

And English only smacks of racism. Want everyone to be a WASP?

And as far as borders! Maybe someday we will stop taking other peoples lands, telling them they must speak English and their culture doesn't matter!

and whats wrong with just coming legal ? nobody is saying don't come just do it legal and by letting this go on we are supporting mexico's corruption and the illegals from there are not interested in becoming Americans they are here for money and to send it back to their beloved country and show no interest in assimilating into America its like excepting a Trojan horse or should i say a Trojan burrito
