My son read an article in the paper a few months ago, that said alot of the the guys in our troops didn't even have toilet paper or toothpaste, and some of the other esentials.I thought instead of buying those yellow magnets that say we support our troops that we could send them some of these things. How do we do that if we don't have anyone spacific to send them to?

Well the paper was wrong. My husband has served two Tours there, he is in the British Army and visited an American Base. Everyone serving there has access to all of the basic toiletries they need and trust me a great deal more than they need. I can't give away secrets but you would be surprised by how well organised the situation is. Remember also that there are very few Soldiers (if any) who do not have wives, girlfriends, parents, siblings and friends all sending out letters and parcels. The only thing my husband couldn't buy was Immodium and if he had gone to the MO(men!) I wouldn't have needed to send it!
