all religion is ok until things get too pushy. when ppl stop living in the real world and can only think based on specific quotes from specific books, all the faith in the world isnt going to stop them from being an intolerant idiot.

if we all just focused on being cool to each other on a daily basis, we'd all be better off.

I do not think Islam should be vs any other religion. The term "vs" means against or in contrast with. I hope the followers of Allah are not against other religions. I prefer that they try to attract adherents by being a good example to others. Islam might contrast more favorably with Christianity if all of the mullas got together and taught peace and harmony and the Christians continued to wage war. Islam in contrast to Buddhism is not so good. Buddhists that I know are peace loving, not very materialistic, do not wage war and are generally gentle folk. There are crazy denominations in Islam as there are in Christianity.
Buddhism shares interesting parallels with stoicism. Both of which seek tranquility and personal peace.
Islam, like Christianity, can be authoritarian, repressive and barbaric when carried to psychotic extremes.

mythkiller zuba gets full credit for amazingly exhaustive study of the Bible, and, by answering the question so indirectly that, if not read between the lines, someone may comment that the question of 'Islam vs Christianity' remained unanswered. Islam believes in almost all that was stated by Zuba. That there is the One-Unique God; that there were most exalted Messengers of The Almighty, none of them was in any way equal to The Almighty. No one can 'see, perceive, visualise the formless Deity'. No one has the power to humiliate the Holy Messengers.. such as by crucification. Jesus Christ has been a great mystery from the moment of his birth to the moment he departed from the Earth, and until there is the 2nd coming. Muslims, Jews, Christians(Hindus too wait for the last Avatar)all are waiting for him, in their respective understanding of Divine Message. The word 'vs' suggests a unity not diversity between Islam and Christianity... etc. The question is very well known to sufi, sage, saint, rishi in every religion. They talk about the mystery among themselves, not with the un-initiated. Thanks again to Zuba

As far as Islam is concerned it is the religion since Adam and Eve set foot on earth. Other religions are time bound and for the people of that time. Now Islam is the only religion acceptible to Allah[God].

I don't think about Islam, even though i am a Christian.

Oh..not everybody is a zealot..that is just a typical "brainwashed" hypocritical attitude.

Actually, i don't know much about Islam, except for the fact that true Islam, is one of the most tolerant religions in the world.

the more you study and learn... the more you will further understand the truth.. but do not learn from people, learn from an institution... islam is not muslims, and muslims is not islam.. islam is a way of life, not the people.

There is no compulsion in the religion; Truth stands out clear from error; so whoso disbelieves in idols and believes in God, has laid hold of the most firm handle, which cannot break; and God is Hearing, Knowing.
