My house has been burglarized and I filed a police report,,, I have had renters insurance for approx 15 years---never had to file a claim before... How long does it normally take for the insurance to pay?

If there is no fraud suspected, it should be processed within 48 hours of the company receiving an official copy of the police report, a list of the stolen items & receipts/values/estimates, and your "proof of loss" form, which sometimes has to be notorized.

Upon receiving the copy of the police report and other supporting documents including a list of stolen items, and if no complications your insurance provided will process the claim at the earliest say within 48 hours. But it entirely depends on the insurance company.

After notifying the claim and submitting the necessary documents along with the police report, the receipt or picture of the stolen items, you will get claim settlement within a maximum of 2 weeks unless there it is ay complications. What company? when i placed a claim for a fire through AllState it took about 3 months to get the money and 6 months for the repairs. But for a claim such as that I wouldnt expect it to be longer than 3 weeks. How much is the claim for?

All depends on your company and the amount of the payout, usually within 3 weeks if it is a standard claim.

They get approximately 60 days to pay you if they want to drag it out as long as possible. Well that is of course if they determine your claim to be covered by your policy.
