I was never a waitress, but I was a hostess in college.

1. Always give the worst tables to women or younger couples because they're not as likely to complain.

2. Women take longer to leave than men.

3. People who order bottles of wine tip better but stay longer.

4. If you don't know the answer to a question about the menu, just make it up. The customer will probably never know the difference.

I am not a waiter, but I do give generous tips to those that are fast, kind, easy-going, attentive and comfortable around everyone even someone like my high demanding and high maintinance mom, if a waiter can please her demands, they deserve about %20 tip or more
