does that give us the right to sin just because JESUS will forgive if we sincerely repent?

Mercy and grace is NOT a license to sin freely...a very high price was paid for that mercy and grace....to fall back on mercy and grace as an excuse to be free to sin is trampling the blood of JESUS CHRIST under foot.

I realize that there is a fine line we walk as CHRISTIANS and I am not condemning anyone for falling...we all do, but the farther along we are in our CHRISTIAN walk, the less we should be falling...but then from experience, even then when we fall, we usually fall big...we gotta have the help of the LORD or we won't make it is my point, and we have to be willing to submit to HIM and stop willfully sinning in order to make it.

What a wonderful question.....NO!!!....Sin is something that although is inherited from our forefather, is totally against all the God stands for. To me, people who think that repentance gives them the right to continue living the way they want as opposed to the way the Bible says we should are living in deep denial..........What's the sense in asking for forgiveness if you're just going to turn around and repeat the offense again....Also, how sincere is an apology when you continue to repeat the same behaviors that you apologized for in the first place?

You are right, it doesn't entitle us to trample his name - but Paul says our body and spirit are at war - and sometimes the things I do not want to do, I do - that isn't a right to sin - it's an acknowledgement that we cannot be perfect, try as we may and that we will sin. An example: you miss one day at Church, not so bad, you don't really like the pastor's way of preaching, next week, you really have to miss legitimately, so now we're up to two, by week three an opportunity arises you never dreamed would, so you've missed three but you'll get back next week, and then week four comes along and five and six, and the next thing you know, you're embarassed you've been out so long and you didn't like his preaching anyway, and no one has called you from the church, so you must not be missed anyway. Follow the drift - that's how easy it is for sin to sneak into our lives and before long we're backslidden.

No, the book of Romans talks about that. The apostle Paul talks about that same question in Romans 6. He says that since we are made new in Christ there is no need to sin. Becuz when we are baptized, are sins are dead with Christ, but when we rise out of the water, just as Jesus did on the third day, we arise as a new person, a person no longer in the bondage of sin.

As Christians we are supposed to lay our burdens and sins at the cross with Jesus, so that we can walk as new people with new spirits and new life. We are no longer to be tied down by the burden of sin, worry, sorrow, fear, nothing that is not the fruit of a spirit who is made righteous through our Lord Jesus Christ.

May i also recommend reading Max Lucado's book, "In the Grip of Grace". Lucado teaches about God's grace and mercy towards us and how we should live by it. Aiite! God Bless!

I don't know if this is the kind of answer you want. But I'll try to answer anyway. In my religion, we believe in being saved by grace after all we can do. (In other words, we have to live the best we can). We believe in being saved by grace and works. Faith without works is dead. (James 2:17). But likewise, works without faith doesn't do much good either. There is no way we can save ourselves. We need Jesus to make up for that which we cannot do ourselves.

In my opinion, Jesus' sacrifice doesn't give people a liscense to sin. But at the same time, nobody can be perfect 100% of the time.

P.S. I just saw your newest comment. I guess I misunderstood your question. My answer to that question is yes. I think we need the Lord's help in our lives.

Yep, just go right along with sinning as much as you want; wallow in the seven deadly sins too for just as long as you want. All you have to do is ask Jesus to forgive you and act reeeeeeeel sincere.
Yeah, right. That's disgusting. Jesus ought to kick the butt of any Christian that tried to pull that multiple repentence game.

If you are truly saved through Jesus Christ, then you will have a lessor chance of wanting to commit a sin. Sin does happen no matter whom you are, just repent and turn from it.

It does not give you license to sin! Nothing does!

I think the answer to that depends on how a person get saved. Was it a quick emotional experience based on human manipulation, or was it a work of the Holy Spirit.

You see before a person get saved, that person is dead spiritually.

Then, when that person get saved for the first time, that person is introduced to a loving and caring God. And, the Holy Spirit begin His works giving acceptance, assurance, and hope to rekindle life in the inner being of a person.

Here is a verse from 1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.

The Holy Spirit rekindles the love of God in that person. And it enables that person to respond to the love God gives.

So, you see that person doesn't want to sin against God anymore. In fact, that person wants to please God in everything.

Christianity is not religion, but it is best described as a love relationship between God and mankind.

Now as human, what would a child who love his/her parent say when making a mistake? They run to the parent, hold them and say: "Daddy, Mommy, can you forgive me? I made a mistake." Then, the parent will kiss the child and say, "Oh. Come here honey. We love you and we forgive you."

The same thing happens to our relationship with our heavenly Father. If anything goes wrong, just tell God. He will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness as He promised.

Hebrews 10:26-28 (New International Version)

26If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

no it does not...
