Should I ask thinly veiled questions that are really nothing more than me posing on a soapbox and bashing our good soldiers? Will yahoo allow it forever? Will anybody get smart and REPORT me along with my extra user names? Should I pose under another name to gain more points while I insult other veterans and your very families? What do you think? IS THIS A GOOD PLACE FOR THAT?

If you say NO, you're right and I think you know what I'm talking about. Tell Yahoo, you don't want to see the anti--war posing of some of these people who are doing this! Report them and tell Yahoo how insulted you are!

cantcu: This isn't about me. If you stop for a minute and think, you will see where I am going. I admit it's not a very good imitation, but the ones that are doing it need to be stopped.

This is supposed to be a place for QUESTIONS, right HMMM? Well that is what this is about. Do you come here for questions and answers, or posturing on a soapbox, dishing out insults?

HEY! This is not about freedom of speech. This is about the rules of this site being violated. Yahoo Answers has rules and my family has been insulted in the violations of those rules. When that is corrected, I will stand down.

First of all I'm a soldier and I support the war on terror because I've been to Iraq, and I believe in the cause 110%. I'm willing to guess that 99% of the rest of the people here only know what they see on the media, or read on an antiwar site.
Second however there is such thing as free speech so we can't get rid of the protesters.
Just remember without the US how we are, you wouldn't be talking so openly on Yahoo.
VICTORY !!!!!

I am very confused - this is the only question I have found so far in Yahoo Answers that qualifies as "posturing on a soapbox"!
It seems to me that Yahoo Answers is a place for a free exchange of ideas, where everyone is entitled to their opinion whether it conforms to others' views or not.
I don't mean to suggest that I support trashing either the soldiers, or, for that matter, those that think the war is illegal or unjust. I just think that they are all entitled to their views.
I do, as a result of this question, want to see the anti-war questions, which I otherwise would not have looked for, so congratulations on providing them with a little more publicity.

Bashing the troops and bashing the war are 2 different things.
While I don't bash the troops, I do bash those that commit murder and then cover it up. That gives all servicemen a bad name and in addition, it is called Conduct Unbecoming!
And don't say they didn't! Two have already confessed!
If you think you can get away with it, go for it! I'll defend them, except murderers and people who torture!
Your question and then your further clarification is two different things.
I can bash the damn war all I want and you can't do anything about it! You make it sound like bashing the troops, which is NOT your question!
Remember the 1st amendment! Please read the definition of a fascist!

Do you believe in freedom of Speech? I do. About the Soldiers. They are good people and all here know that. Misguided? Yes they are. But you and I ( And Others ) know the American Military people are the best of the best. You and others stick up for them and that is very honorable thing to do. I want to thank you for your replies and you taking the time to tell me what is and what isn't. You and others here are very nice and I for one am very proud to banter back and forth with all of you. You are a class group of people and now I'm retired. Note:...Remember there is another person pretending to be me here. He's good. I enjoy his post. So if he is here remember it may not be me.

You mean HERE in yahoo answers, where literally al quaida PR officers ask & answer questions? Or here specifically in the military section where you're most likely to run into vets who may feel insulted by what you say? I'd say somewhere else would be best.

This is a place where you can post a stupid Q's and you'll get lots of stupid answers, and another combination of educated Q's but you still get stupid answers. Only very few will get intellectually designed answers for an intellectually designed Q's
