and people who don't even believe in the Word of God or have even opened up the Book to read it, answer Bible related questions. I don't understand, how a person can answer a question that don't know anything about it but its opinion

Well, I've left Christianity, but I was a Christian for 20 years. I've read the Bible, and I had a Christian understanding of it. Now I have a non-Christian understanding of it as well. If I think that there is a point that I can make, then I'll make it. Sometimes, it'll be from the Christian viewpoint I once held, and sometimes it'll be from my current viewpoint depending on the question.

There are an awful lot of people that are not Christian but still know the Bible, and still know Christianity.

Because like everyone having a belly button, everyone has an opinion, and sometimes we have to wade through to get to those who have an honest answer to our questions regarding God's Word. I suggest when you are truly in question, say a simple prayer - Lord, I'm not understanding what I read, if it is your will to reveal it to me at this time, please do so, otherwise, I will accep that I am not mature enough for this passage and when I am you will bring it to light to me. Amen. This is how I've studied the Word of God for the past 20 years that I've been a Christian - I learn knew stuff every day and it's like opening a new gift from God as he raises me as his own.

How can you be such an expert on how to live your life. You need to experience life to understand how and why some things happen.

The bible is a guide on how to live your life but it is 2000 years old yet you try (in some ways ) to apply it to modern society with no changes. It doesn't work that way, society is much more complex than that.

You and your friends are very superficial, as is your interpretation of the bible. Jesus gave us a code of behaviour, try living by his teachings rather than applying lip service.

Many people ask rhetorical questions to illuminate grossly contradictory statements and other foolishness in the hopes that Christians might consider alternative interpretations than the odd ball beliefs held by some sects and the ascientific nonsense espoused by others. That's why.

One doesn't have to believe the Bible in order to be able to answer questions about it, just as one doesn't have to believe what's in the Quran, the Rig Vedas, or the Epic of Gilgamesh in order to answer questions about them. Really, there's nothing special about the Bible--it's just another book of mythology, fables, and hero stories.

Because people feel the same way you do; they are entitled to their opinions and so they use them.....Although they may have never read the Bible it doesn't mean they can't give their opinions be it right or wrong, it's their right to do so.

it's truly amazing how some people are so convinced that they are the only ones who have all the answers, that they finally have the one true final interpretation of writings that people have been analyzing for 2000 years! people this deluded are never going to see the error of their ways, just the error of others. You have to realize they will never change, and keep searching for your own answers.

Opinions are like noses...

Most everyone has one.
They usually have a couple holes in them.
While you can easily see the holes in someone else's, you can't see the holes in your own without outside help.
While you can pick your own, trying to pick someone else's can casuse big problems... You get the idea ;-)
