we are told that by their fruits we will know them...there are people in this world that call them self Christians and are not showing the fruit of the SPIRIT...why live the life of a hypocrite? We are all known by our fruit anyway, we ain't fooling anybody! If you are a true CHRISTIAN, people know it and if you are lost, PEOPLE KNOW IT!

Let just say:
If I was evil and I didn't like a Christian girl what do you think I would do? Go around making her look bad or make her continue to go good with other people?
I would make her bad because I am evil and jealous
That’s the same way with the devil he want God’s people to look dad because he know one bad egg spoil the hold basket!

I read a prediction in the Vedas that the age in which we live now will be spiritually degraded. Some will pose themselves as religious just to have some material recognition. They are misleading others.
Anyway, I think to be religious is a natural tendency of everybody whether in atheistic way like the Buddhists who don't recognise the existence of god or in theistic way like the Christians, Muslims etc. But even among them there are those ones who are not pure, (saintly) but rather tinged with atheism like the devilish Christian in the above question.
But ultimately there is a say to imitate something good is good. So, if the devilish Christian imitates a good Christian, he will make advancement giving up gradually his bad behaviour.
In all the scriptures you can find the description of the perfect human being. Saints manifest good qualities. Evrybody should become saintly.

Amazing, what an astute question. I was trying not to think of the same one except I couldn't exactly put into words the thought about someone trying to bring shame on JESUS CHRIST and adopting a Christian name. Way to go. Thanks for the help with this concept.

Well, I'm not sure that ANY Christian can really be called a Christian, then. I mean, everyone has done some bad things in their lives. How do you know when someone has done too much bad to be called Christian? That would require a judgement, would it not?

Many people believe that Faith is all it takes to get to Heaven, and therefore it doesn't reallly matter what you do. Other people believe that you can repent of all on the deathbed and you'll get to Heaven anyway. I don't think that anyone really gets away with this kind of cheating. All will catch up to you sooner or later.

The single greatest cause of Athiesm in the world today is Christians, who openly talk about Chrsit, then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle.
That is what an unbelieving world, simply finds UNbelievable.

I do agree with you, and I put in a lengthy response, but then I read some of the replies put in before me and I felt a wave of shame pass over me, so I decided to edit it. (Thank you for humbling me, to everyone else who responded.)We need not judge others, but rather show everyone how a true Christian behaves. Actions speak louder than words. Matthew 5:16 tells us to "Let your light so shine before men, so they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in Heaven." Instead of criticizing others for shaming the name of Christ, we should behave as He would, so people will glorfiy His name with us. God bless you!

Christians are striving to be more Christ like. Nobody is perfect and sometimes even Christians make mistakes. We are only human. That is why Christ died on the cross.

Because some people who think they are Christians are parts of Christian religions and have not matured enough to know the difference. And even Christians backslide, which is why our salvation is secure, even if our actions aren't. So, when we see it in others, we confess our own hearts and pray for that one we see.
