Well There are some Hindus and Buddhists on net and on YA too. Myself for one.
Seeing that Christianity and Islam have more followers than Hindus . Secondly the the YA has more christian countries in this forum. So naturally the participation of Hindus and Buddhists lessens.
Many discussions are thoroughly related with Abrahmic religions. Christians, Muslims and Jews can answer each others question because of many common concepts.
And lastly Hindus and Buddhists do not answer questions in which they have no real input to give. They do not proselytise and so restrain from unnessary religious speeches. That is more of western thing to jump in questions they do not know about but just to say that it is stupid and false and satanic or what not.

I've noticed plenty of Buddhists and Hindus. Some have given great answers to my questions. I think that, generally, it's because so many questions here have a yes/no approach to the nature of God as envisioned by Abraham that a Buddhist or a Hindu might have little to contribute (Buddhists because 'mu' is not much of an answer and Hindus because they have a pantheon of gods of quite a different nature). It may also be that these tend to be live-and-let-live religions who are inclined to let others do the fighting. And of course, outside of R&S, who knows what religion the people who answer your questions are?

You are right in your obeservation but that is more becuase of the very nature of these religions rather than anything else. The followers of Christianity and Islam are easily provoked and are too sensitive about the religion. They are forever looking for opportunities to prove that their religion is superior ( that proves an inherant lack of self belief in their own religion) and for that they will even fight battles and wars. It may be becuase they are relatively new religions and hence more vulnerable. That is why we see a very visible and active attempts by them to convert people to their religions. Chistianity has perhaps the largest network of volunteers to promote and convert people of other religions and Islamic history is also abundantly filled with forced conversions.
Hindu and Buddhist ( sikhism is more off a offshoot to Hinduism) are the most tolerant and are more dependen tof self choice. Its not that they are better than others but they dont wear there riligion on sleeve and there is no instance in history where wars have been fought over religion or any force or incentive have been used to convert.

There are several Hindus on the site, and I think they mostly are online in what is early morning in the USA, where I'm from. This is of course because in India, that would be evening, I think.
I am a Hindu, and other Hindu answerers on this site are:
rian30
gabriel_zachary
truth_seeker
rakana_dakini
and others.
I have seen only a very few Buddhists on the site. It could be that you would find them in the philosophy section more or something. I'm not sure. But I have seen one or two.

I'm a Hindu. I'm here. I have met some other Hindus on here, too. They do appear to be fewer in numbers, but I think that many of us don't answer a lot of the questions (because they are very religious specific) and we don't ask a lot of questions. We also tend to not get online as actively as some others, do, either. I have noticed that days may pass before I or some of the other Hindus are online again posting answers to questions or even asking questions.
But we are here!

I haven't, I've seen all of these, I am a hindu myself. You've obviously not been paying much attention.
There may be a lack of buddhists because they might be all meditating on nothingness or becoming some super cosmic energy.
PS, it's only a religion if there is a belief in a supreme entity/God otherwise they may just be disguised atheists (such as Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs) - they simply try to borrow concepts from other religions and peddle them as some super knowledge of their own.

I have come across several Hindu's on here. I see them around often. However, I guess the other groups tend to be more vocal.
I'm not Indian, but I've been a devotee of Sri Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi for a year now. She is my Satguru and have been studying a lot about Hinduism this past year. I'm still learning, but I love it so much! It felt like coming home to me, coming to the end of my spiritual journey. Amma has brought me so much closer to Divine Mother.

Mash and rian30 have very nicely put it...
In fact rian30 has answered scores of questions on Hinduism in a perfect manner...sometimes even convincing the atheists and abusers.
But i do feel hindus should participate more at least in Hindu's questions to register their presence.
I have seen serious questions by Hindus get 2/3 answers...or people making fun of hinduism reply. I am sure there are at least more than 200/300 hindus in YA, it at least 25% of them reply to hindu's questions, it will be fine

Do you mean the people who claim the religions or what? You stopped after "that everyone on this site whether they are Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus?". Be more specific. Then, repost this.

I'm a Buddhist but I don't usually have the need to tell it on the site. I assume there are a lot of Buddhists on the site but unless a question is asked about Buddhism you wouldn't know it,
