After all, it was our grandfathers (hundreds of years back),fathers, sons, husbands, cousins, nephews, mothers, daughters, and more who fought and died for this country. It is the legal, natural and naturalized, citizens who built this country, through hard work, determination, strong will and without handouts and paid our taxes, voted,and make changes for the better. You'd think they would have better sense than to refer to us as "fat, lazy, old", etc. As if there are none of those in their community . That is so uncivilized, ignorant and irrational. It's really difficult for me to see any logic in their way of 'thinking'.

The 'downtrodden' slave DID NOT build this country. There were more people in the USA working, making laws, fighting wars, passing legislation, voting and changing things for the betterment of the people than there were 'slaves' or illegal workers. The LEGAL citizens build this country to what it is today, not them. They did some things to help, but they were not by far the majority who made the USA what it is today. You need to read history further back and check the population of the USA compared to the number of ILLEGAL immigrants and slaves then. don't start sying immigrants built this land. We are speaking of ILLEGAL immigrants. Be logical

Because they ARE ungrateful!! You are right,WE all worked and made this country what it is today!!! Our great grandparents,etc,etc, came here LEGALLY!!! There were NO laws back then,so NONE could have been broken!
ILLEGALS are just like every OTHER deadbeat,they think we OWE them a living!!! Who do they think is PAYING for them to have their "anchor babies"??? Actually it was the downtrodden slaves that built the majority of this country, along side the Asians that were not given rights of citizenship that buil the Railroads alongside the Irish that were treated as second class citizens all the time. The MAJORITY of america was built by people that were FORCED to do it. It wasn't until the illegals showed up people started doing it by choice. The event that lead to the surge of illegal workers was the civil right movements. READ A HISTORY BOOK.

Now, to the question - They have a sense of entitlement when it comes to anything on this continent. They feel it's theirs, and we are the invaders. This is what they learn in their schools. The root of this problem is the Mexican government - the buck starts there. It's not unlike the schools in Saudi Arabia - they're taught from an early age a certain way of thinking (radical Islam), or in the case of Mexico - Aztlan, and Republica del Norte.

And as for your question, yes they are ungrateful, and if people really want to do something about it, instead of coming on here and whining and griping, people should get out there and write or e-mail their congressmen and senators, over and over and over until they HAVE to listen. Then make sure to vote on the right candidates. Stay in there Cher, you have the right to ask questions and answer questions without being personally attacked. It reflects back on those rude people and the manner in which they were raised by their parents. I'm with you 100%. Keep on keeping on! :)

You are right...they do seem rather ungrateful, and highly disrespectful. They also seem to have an air of total contempt for American laws and Americans as well. These things and more make their stay a very uncomfortable one for those you have just mentioned.

Put yourself in their place. Think about the good things that our ancestors did to help this country, then think about how they dont know anything about our ancestors, and that the people now, with all the attention on the news are being treated with hatred and disrespect. They are so busy having to defend themselves, that they arent thinking about praising us, or thanking us, and we did this to them! We made them this way with our news and our minute men and kkk. Just think about it!
