The only way to lose weight is to have more energy output than calorie eating input. Bike riding every day is an excellent and fun way to exercise. I know because I lost 35 pounds doing it. Good Luck and have fun!

There are other factors involved, one of which is, how much food do you eat, and what types of food.
To lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you take in.
Riding a bike is great exercise, but walking or light jogging can be just as good, if not better... if you ride a bike, you can coast, which doesn't help you. If you walk or jog, it's all you.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Yes, definately.
Ride every day, but most important is to make your rides longer and more challenging as the miles increase.
I lost nearly 30 pounds in a year just riding to work almost every day and long rides during the weekend.
Aim to ride 100 miles a week and alternate between road and off road rides to variate your workout.

If you ride it long enough to burn more calories than your body needs. Do it and watch your diet and you'll have better results. Also, ride at a nice steady rate for long enough to get your heart pumping. You should ask a doctor before starting any exercise program.

If your energy intake is less than your energy needs, your body will burn internal sources of energy. These sources include blood sugar and fat. Exercising is one way to increase your energy needs. If you increase your energy needs, but do NOT increase your energy intake (or reduce your energy intake) your caloric needs will be met by burning body fat.
Bicycling every day is a really good way to burn energy, from stored carbohydrate and fat. It also helps you build muscle mass, and muscles burn fat 24 hours a day, even while you sleep. The more muscle mass you have, the more energy you burn, while you exercise, or while you just sit in a chair.
