Depends on how he accepts it. If he thinks that proper religion prevents him from doing evil things, then consider him saved. But if he looks at religion simply as something to believe in and he does not practice his creed, then chances are he will fall into evil things. (Given that his religion is pro-good.)
Hope I've been helpful (^_^)

It cant..you as a human are charged to struggle with what is good and what is evil and be able to follow the right path.Anyone that relies on religion to take that task away is nothing more then a fool in a sprial into the hands of destruction.God did not place us here as puppetts on strings..but as free willing creations and what we do with that is all up to us.

Chanting the hymn of the Sri Lalita Sahasranama - The Thousand Names of the Divine Mother will protect you from evil energies. It is the most powerful chant. It used to be a secret that only sincere seekers in India could have access to it long time ago.

Now it is readily available and encouraged by Sri Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi to be chanted regularly for spiritual growth and protection. I've been using it for two months now, and I now have no fear at all, plus I've felt closer to Divine Mother.

Religion doesn't save a man from anything. But holding the hand of Christ and allowing Him to lead us to the Father saves us from everything. If your hand is in Christ's, it cannot be occupied with wrongdoing.

The idea is that the prospect of eternal life is so great a prize, that man will do good things because they so want that. Kind of like when our parents told us if we got all As on our report card we would go to the carnival.

Religion can't!! But trusting in God can. By asking Jesus to come into your heart and living for Him, Trusting Him to take care of you. Believing in Him. God Love you and wants to keep you
from evil things. Unfortunately evil will always be here because of
satan and his demons and we can't escape it until Jesus comes
back to take us home to heaven.

I don't think that religion can save a person from evil things. I believe that faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and Son of God can save us. Jesus died for our sins as a subsitutionary sacrifice--the cost of sin in death and Jesus died for us in our place.

It can keep him from getting into trouble and keep him from going to places where he is tempted to cause trouble. In a lot of religions, if you do something really bad, something bad will happen to you after you die.
