I have a strong intrest in learning the art of travel writing, I have traveled to 50 countries with a backpack , trips I began in the early 70s. I wrote long discriptive letters, took hundreds and hundreds of pictures. I now want to continue to travel, hopefully around the world. I'd like to learn about travel writting, how to get published. What steps to take. Anyone have tips, info on any online writting class's? Thankyou

Not being a published author myself, I can't really give you any hints in this regard. However, I'm a big fan of travel writing of all kinds. You might be able to find ideas in some of these books - obviously you're well traveled so I'm not talking learning from their own experiences - just think about their styles and focus as you're reading, and about the way you want to present your travels. Good examples of authors are Bill Bryson, Paul Theroux, and Jason (I think) Scott. Good luck! I hope to read one of your books someday :)
