Why not? It's just a sport, a hobby. Better than taking out rage on the congregation!! No, seriously, anytime our bodies are stretched to their maxium endurance it can be a spiritual awakening, so it can be very cleansing for clergy I would assume.

Well Grand Poo Baah, Reverand Honorable Majesty Bishop David F. Milne DD, yes I do think clergy should be involved in Fighting Sports. I think I should set up a match between you and The Eyeball Tolla, Champion Kick boxer from Iran. Then after you kick his infidel axis I think we should go after the Prime Hoo Doo of Voodoo in Haiti followed by Boom Boom Buddah for the world Kix Axis title of the world.
Not only that, I just saw the NASCAR race today from Pamona and during the prayer at the beginning of the race, the Holy Mucka Muck got in a plug for Nextel in the prayer. We oughta exploit this one. We'd make a great team.
Like Don King and Mike Tyson, I'd want an 85/15 split. You could be just like Mike, who said, "Fifteen percent of something is better than 100 percent of nothing." It's even better than tithe at 10%.
Deal or no deal Dave?

Clergy don't have any time spare from misleading the followers to devote in fighting sports.

By all means. I wouldn't mind seeing a few members of the clergy getting the snot knocked out of them.

That's a general question. What do you mean by involved, and "fighting sports?" Do you mean watching, or participating? Is a fighting sport boxing, or cage fighting? So I guess it depends.

sure. fighting is in the bible and everyday life. good vs. evil...
as long as they are fighting for a reason. even if it's money it should be ok if the money is used for good or for support of something like family. not gambling or anything.

yes, it would be a good way to raise money and relieve stress and the eastern religions have mixed faith and fighting for some time...and of course it would be hillarious.
