What I did was(when my cat was a kitten) tap it's nose and say noooo, it a calm, yet stern tone of voice. Or if it is sinking it's nails into you just lightly flick it's nails and say noooo in the same manner. This will probably cause the kitten to stop and look at you like "What did I do?" But just stay consistent and eventually it will get the picture. One question: Is someone else in the household playing rough with him/her? If not everyone is on the same page to curb this, then it will be harder to correct.

Good luck.......................

If you give ANY kind of reaction, even negative, a kitten takes it as play and will be encouraged to continue. When it starts to bite or grab hold with claws, go completely still and, when it releases a bit, extract yourself and move away and don't play any more until later. This is the only way I was able to train a wild kitten I adopted from outside. She took flicks and smacks as play and would just continue even harder. I had to stop and withdraw. Maybe say NO or some other word, loudly, and go and don't play with it for awhile. She finally got to realize that if she got rough, the game would end.

Scold her (sternly) and then quit playing with her for a while.

Cats learn how to bite and scratch when they are playing from playing with other cats. If you don't have another cat, you need to let them know that you can control how much and how often you play with them. They want to be social, so if you stop playing immediatly after they bite or scratch, you are taking away what they want. Give like 10 minutes, and start playing again...worked with mine!

A friend of mine has the same problem, also I have seen this question before. Anyway what he does is take a cotton ball and put a little vinegar on it, when kitty comes to attack just put this ball in front of his nose, don't jam it in there or anything just put it in front of him. Kitty will run away for a few minutes. After a while you don't even need to put vinegar on it, just one look at the cotton ball and kitty will scram. I don't know what happens after this but I am imagining that as kitties turn into cats this behavior subsides.

Sternly tell her no and turn away. Than give her a toy she likes, kittens need to be trained not to bite and scratch when they are young or else they will carry the habit inton adulthood.

Each time, and be consistent, take her by the scruff, say no loud and take her to the sink and spritz her face with water and then let her go
Do not, if possible, allow her the opportunity to bite you, show your displeasure that she gets no pleasure from you if she tries this
