This operation is for hyperhidrosis, an excessive sweating disorder of the hands/armpits.. It is FDA approved and I believe many health insurance pay for the procedure, as claimed by the doctor. But since I am currently a college student without a full-time job, will Medicaid help me out paying for this type of surgery?

No, I don't want to pay for your multi-thousand-dollar surgery just because you are too sweaty. I worked my way through school and studied very hard to get my job. My wife and I are trying to move to a new town. My car is 12 years old and I can't save up enough money to get a new one.

It is a crime that people assume, expect, demand, and take for granted that their every comfort and need will be met in life. Medicare was designed for the poorest people in America, but because it gets abused by some, very few people can qualify and many people suffer from things like strokes, heart attacks, and diabetes without getting help. You should be ashamed for asking such a thing. Buy some deodorant and some health insurance.

Talk to the hospital and the student health department.

You probably won't like the answers. Just because something is coverable under some insurance policies does not mean you'll get covered without insurance.

medicaid is good at paying for most health care issues call them, or have the hospital that you want to have the surgery call, they usually want to pre aprove your insurance before doing a procedure like surgery so hey will call and get the cost and amount of coverage for you

Ask your case worker handling your medicaid case. He/She should be able to answer your questions.

talk to the billing department at the hospital, they will have all the answers, maybe not the ones you want to hear, but they will have them.
