Wouldn't you have the power to avoid pain and to raise yourself from the dead?

The Jesus story has him walking on water, healing the sick, making the blind see, and last but not least, raising at least 3 DEAD folks back to life.

Jesus, Christianity?

Think and answer, DO NOT PARROT OR QUOTE.

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Do Gods die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides a few hours of superhuman suffering was sacrificed?

What's the BIG deal?

David Blaine can do that on TV.

If you accept the Jesus story, would you also accept this one?

I gave all my money to Charity last Friday.

On Sunday, all the money was returned to me.

I sacrificed for charity. True or False?

I tend to think most of his miracles are either not really his, or misunderstood throughout the ages.

You seem to be talking about the belief in the Trinity. The father the son and the holy gost are all one. That is a false teaching. Jesus is Gods son. Not god. The word trinity doesnt even apear in the bible.

Anyways. Jesus dieing on the torture stake was to pay the ransom sacrifice. Threw one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death threw sin. Therfore all men are sinners because they are born of a man. Before Jesus death, you would have to sacrifice an animal to be forgiven of your sins. Blood being sacred was poured out to attone for your sins. When Jesus blood was poured out (him being a perfect man) the ransom sacrifice was paid for all of mankinds sins. That is why you now pray for forgivness threw jesus name, rather than having to sacrifice an animal.

Jesus is not God, but rather a part of him, a human part so to speak whose sole purpose on Earth was to teach God way and die for our sins. He died for our sins, gave the greatest sacrifice he could make as a man, and rose to show Gods power. What did he sacrifice? He sacrificed himself so we could be saved and live everlasting life through him

If you give all your money to charity on Friday, good for you.

If on Sunday, it was all returned, fantastic. But it only relates if all your money benefited that charity, and it was returned to you in such a manner that you were unable to use it like you had before.

Jesus got everlasting life, he was not returned back to earth to finish a life. He was resurrected into heaven, and those days his death benefited all mankind for eternity.

So, yes its a sacrifice if you have given up that money, expecting to lose it, and yet gained more than you had before, and out of your sacrifice came eternal good. Then, and only then could you eqate it to what Jesus did, and even then its only a mere drop in the bucket for what he went through.

Nobody can bring anybody back to life. Not one has done it before not one will do it. You only can revive people that are here and around, once that the soul or spirit left the body never comes back.
The only people that says that Jesus was God are the Catholics and after that the Protestants. Muslims only call him a prophet.

Even if all the miracles are true, it does not prove anything about the morality Jesus taught.

People should study the morality of the Bible and Koran and analyze whether or not it makes sense instead of studying and analyzing the miracles and then assuming that the morality is correct.

Jesus is God, but in His time on earth, He was actually human. He was exposed to all of the sins that we as humans are exposed to, and conquered each one. This is what set Him apart from the rest of the population. Understand that He had the power to end His pain at any given moment, but He chose not to. Yes, He is God, and yes, He did die. That is because He allowed Himself to. It was the only way that we, as humans, could live with Him for all eternity. When Jesus died, God Himself did not die, but rather the flesh part of Him. Jesus represents the body of the three part being, and the body does die. The soul, however, lives on. God represents the soul of the three part being, so, in Jesus' death, He remained alive, watching from His home in heaven. So God did not actually die, but merely the flesh part of Him. This is slightly off topic, but have you ever seen the movie "The Passion of the Christ"? There is a scene in that movie in which Jesus' persecutors pause briefly as He struggles on the ground. The torture could have ended right then, but Jesus, through His weakness, actually stood up as if to say, "is that all ya got?" You see, Jesus was not one to back out of challenging situations, in fact, when He was challenged, He stepped deeper into the challenge as opposed to backing out of it. When faced with such challenges, most of us become defensive, closing in the walls so as not to allow anyone in. Jesus did not do this, He actually pushed the walls out farther so as to allow more people in, actually ticking off more people than when the challenge first presented itself. This is the only way to grow! I realize that this doesn't really relate to your question, but I just thought I'd present this information to you so as to reveal a little more of Jesus' character. Now, back to the question: you say that besides a few hours of suffering, Jesus really did not sacrifice anything. Well, I will tell you first of all, that those hours were hours of intense pain and suffering, and those hours actually stretched into THREE DAYS. Can you imagine, going through pain of that intensity for THREE DAYS? In Isaiah 52:14, it says that everyone was appaled, for He had a ruined face, disfigured past recognition. He didn't even look human anymore, that's how much pain He went through! I would also like to point out that Jesus carried the weight of all sin on His Shoulders, and the punishment of sin is death. This means that He actually decended into hell for three days prior to His rising again, where He was tortured some more for the sins He bore. He was counting on God's promise to bring Him back on the third day, which He did. I also want you to know that during His suffering, Jesus literally lost EVERYTHING, even God Himself! God could not possibly set eyes on Him for the fact that He bore the weight of all sin on His shoulders. Therefore, He left Him for that time. This was the reason for His final cry on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" So He was not only hurting physically, but spiritually as well. Now, the reason for Jesus' rising again is this: it signifies our death to our old life and rebirth to the new. Jesus' rising again is symbolic of our new life in Christ, our ETERNAL life in Christ! Had Jesus not risen from the dead, this would not be possible! God bless!

I don't really know what your question is but the Bible does say that he is in heaven right now, because he awoke the third day.
