Bad as in spoiled, no but bad as in taste, yes. If it's in one of those circular containers you should put a plastic bag over the top and then put the lid back on. This will protect the flavor longer. Unfortunately they haven't designed better packaging for ice cream so eat it ASAP.

No. it will not be BAD. It may have gotten freezer burn, but that is not harmful, except to the taste buds. Next time, instead of letting it get that freezer burned part,When you have scooped yourself some ice cream, take a piece of plastic wrap (or greaseproof paper or parchment paper) and press it down onto the surface of the remaining ice cream so it is touching the exposed surface, replace the lid and this will help stop freezer burn.

It may have freezer burn which won't taste very good but shouldn't hurt you if you want to eat it. That is as long as your freezer has remained cold enough for the ice cream the whole time and hasn't let it thaw and then re-freeze. If that's the case there could be bacteria in the ice cream that wouldn't be so healthy to eat.

Yes, and if there is any freezer burn on it, even if it's not on the part you eat, it can make you sick.

If the ice cream was left open because it is homemade and didn't come in a container, then next time get some freezer-safe tupperware and use that.

Yes I would think so. I wouldn't eat it, especially if there is already freezer burn on it. Darn what a waste of perfectly good ice cream. Sorry.
