Isn’t it just other’s interpretations of what they heard? or saw? or believed themselves? I don’t know. This question has arisen from a debate among my friends and me.

How can the Quran be God's word if he did not write it?
Yet , they believe that it is written by God(Allah), and he also has a copy with him in Heaven! Why would Allah need a copy! Doesn't he have a good memories! Just asking. Just as you question the Bible, we too can question you.
The Bible is not written by God, the stories were inspired by him.

The Bible was written by some 40 different men over a period of 1,600 years, beginning in 1513 B.C.E. It is made up of 66 little books. Those who wrote the Bible were inspired by God. They wrote his thoughts, not their own. So God in heaven, not any human on earth, is the Author of the Bible.—2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21.
The means or agency for the inspiration of “all Scripture” was God’s holy spirit, or active force. That holy spirit operated toward or upon men to move them and guide them in setting down God’s message. Thus, the apostle Peter says of Bible prophecy: “You know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation. For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.” (2Pe 1:20, 21)

If you've never talked to God or been a TRUE Christian, you'll never understand it. Yes, the Bible was written by men..over centuries..but they were inspired by God and the Holy Spirit. God talks to us..but a lot of people don't listen with their hearts. If you've never had a 'Holy Ghost High', you're missing out!! I used to not believe in this..and that God can talk to us..but if you could see the changes that have been made in me and my life since I accepted HIM, you'd have no trouble believing!
Some of the Bible (the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) were written by witnesses to the facts. Some others, as I've already said, were inspired by God. But if you read the Bible, you'll see that it's pretty consistant.

Nowhere does the bible says that its the word of God. infact the word bible is not in the bible.
quran (45:2) The revelation of the Book is from God the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.

Humans invent Gods in their own images. Those who claim the bible is "God's word" are admitting they worship other men as their Gods.
Which, if there was a Supreme Being, would probably irritate him no end.
People who reduce God (the Supreme Being) to the words in a book are committing the ultimate blasphemy.
But, to each his own.

God wrote the Bible through them. He gave them the info, they wrote it down. A lot of writings, like the four gospels, are stories they witnessed, as well as hundreds of others. A lot of stories are words of wisdom, gifts from God given to men to pass on.

Religious people use the excuse that god wrote the bible because he influenced the bible nothing but circual reasoning.

a business man has his secretary write a letter. he tells her what to write in the letter.
is it her letter or her bosses letter ?
the Bible writers were born along by God's Holy Spirit, as what to write. it is His words that were written down for us. if it man's words ------we would have NO direction in life. and NO hope.

Well, if u have Christ in ur heart, he sppeks to u. so the ppl who wrote the bible were men of God, and so He spoke to them. read the bible. u'll understand it better, my suggestion: get an NIV
