He was Jewish, and for about three hundred years, his followers were also considered Jewish. Eventually, there was enough disagreement about whether you could be a good Jew and believe that the Messiah had come that the "Christians" were told they really weren't part of Judaism anymore. I am a Roman Catholic, but my religion starts with Judaism as its basis. I don't understand how anyone who follows Christ can be anti-Semitic, because Jesus and His family and His first followers were Jewish.

Of course Jesus was Jewish but He also showed that it is not a religion that saves us, but a relationship with GOD.

Jesus said that we would worship in Spirit and in Truth. Since Jesus is the Truth, we worship in Him.

Those who follow Jesus were called Christians (this was first intended to insult those that followed Jesus but they soon adapted it)

There is no religion in the world that can "save" anyone. The best anyone can do is to point to the only one that can save..Jesus Christ. I would run from ANY church or religion that said we had to belong to their group to be saved because Jesus said HE was the way the truth and the life...no one can go to the Father but by HIM.

You can establish this relationship and know you have eternal life.

Without a doubt, I believe your question has validity. But with that said, it will be necessary to check into my archives of linguist thoughts on this particular subject matter, to ascertain as to the best and most beneficial response scheme possible. Although the question has some important thoughts and validity, I would advise you to seek a professional who can best serve you, since most of the people, who answer questions are good at cutting and pasting, spreading descent, and peddling gloom. Although I will do my best to be forthright in giving you the best answer possible, I am afraid anything that I write would be taken entirely out of context. For this reason, and this reason alone, I will say there are always good answers; but rarely are there perfect answers. So my answer can not and will not serve your needs for anything medical or evangelical. I will only answer by saying this is my best sentiment for which I have actually put my best foot forward to be able to reach a solution to your question that is embedded with perplexing thoughts; it in no way reflects my moral values or any opinion of my business, that will remain incognito.

Jesus, Christianity?

Use your brain for just a few seconds.

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Do Gods die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides a few hours of superhuman suffering was sacrificed?

What's the BIG deal?

David Blaine can do that on TV.

If you accept the Jesus story, would you also accept this one?

I gave all my money to Charity last Friday.

On Sunday, all the money was returned to me.

I sacrificed for charity. True or False?

Jesus was Jew, and later became the leader of the Christians. The jews didnt believe He was the messiah, so they rejected Him. He turned to people with softer willing minds, called the Gentiles. The awesome people that followed Him were then called Christians (Christ followers). He was the source, the meaning of Christianity.
